I have been writing poetry since 2006. I am 55 years old. My Mom’s name is Vivian Elain Johnson. My Dad’s name is Earl Johnson, Sr. I have five siblings and two stepbrothers. I have one son and am a grandmother of two. I also play the piano at my church.
I entered my first talent show at the age of 11 years at Savoy Elementary School in Washington, D.C. I was blessed to have my mom there to see me perform! I have been writing Gospel and R&B songs since the age of 12. I have been singing in church all my life.
I took voice lessons at Howard University in Washington, D.C. and at the Tortorsky Academy on 16th street in Washington, D.C. with the suggestion of my ex-husband, may he rest in peace with God. I also took dance lessons at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop on Capitol Hill.
I graduated from DuVal Senior High School in 1980 in Lanham, Maryland. We had our graduation at Maryland University.
