Sophia Thomas is a senior studying journalism and international studies at American University. She’s written for Her Campus at American and served as the communications coordinator for The Littlest Tumor Foundation. A Vermont native, Sophia enjoys the change of pace in Washington, D.C. and uncovering the city’s stories. When she’s not writing for Street Sense, you can find her reading, learning to crochet, selling apples at the Mount Pleasant Farmers’ Market, and trying to befriend the stray cats in her backyard.
