Leila joined Street Sense Media as the Events and Workshop Manager in April 2018. She received her B.A in Art History and Fine Arts from James Madison University in 2011 and has been involved in an array of organizations blending her interests of art, wellness and community development. Most recently, she worked as an art teacher and studio director with a focus on community outreach and arts programming. As a committed artist, she is actively involved in local theater, comedy and visual arts in the D.C. metro area and through Street Sense Media is working to highlight the voices of those unrepresented in our community through the arts.
