Colleen began her time at Street Sense as an Editorial intern during the summer of 2015. She then returned to Street Sense as a volunteer reporter and a case management intern during the summer of 2016. Colleen graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in English. During her time at Mary Washington, Colleen completed a year-long research project on the criminalization of homelessness in Virginia with the university’s Sociology Department.
