Substance Abuse Rehabilitation
~Their mission is to provide an “effective residential drug and alcohol treatment and rehabilitation program for men and women who are motivated to recover and change their lives.”
~ “People who seek out our programs often have had long histories of substance abuse, homelessness and/or incarceration.  Many have medical problems [and] legal conflicts”
~There is no payment for treatment.
~Their treatment is composed of 3 phases:
~Phase 1 is 30 days long and consists of Nutritional and Physical Rebuilding, Counseling, 12 Step Recovery Principles, Educational Seminars and Lectures, Art Therapy Services, Yoga, and Qi Gong and Acupuncture. 
~Phase 2 is a continuation of counseling and group therapy and participants are offered GED training, computer literacy classes, art therapy, physical fitness, etc…
~Phase 3 is a continuation of counseling and group therapy, when residents seek employment or outside education/vocational training. ~How to apply for treatment:
~For 30 day Phase I Residential Treatment–
~Clean & Sober Streets accepts referrals of Washington, DC residents from the DC Department of Behavorial Health
~The Assessment and Referral Center is located at 64 New York Avenue, NE Washington D.C. 20002
~The D.C. Department of Behavioral Health Assessment and Referral Center is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
~For same day service, you must arrive before 3:30 pm.

~Clean and Sober Streets also accepts walk-in applicants and referrals from other sources.
