Who Really Cares?

Who cares about the homeless who live on the streets,
When they’re living in security, with a home full of heat.

Some people keep walking when vendors are talking.
Some folks just don’t understand.
When you donate a dollar to a beggar or a vendor,
You’re helping a homeless man.

Who really cares?

Some homeless hear voices, they’ve got limited choices.
Mental illness is the cause of it all.
But people keep walking
When the homeless are talking,
like officials in the city hall.

Sometimes I am thinking
Since I stopped all my drinking
Does the public really understand

If it’s hard for them to make ends meet
Then it’s hell for a homeless man.

But again, who really cares?
