Who am I, today?

My name is Michael Daniels and I am 71 years of age. I am homeless because of my family. It is my choice.

I love my grandkids. One was shot in SE, so I moved them to my house in Maryland. I know that they will be okay down there.

I am in a shelter for now. But not for long, hopefully. I do sometimes get very depressed, feeling as though I don’t want to live anymore. But I have a good psychiatrist that believes in me and customers looking to read my work. We just have to take things one day at a time.

We believe ending homelessness begins with listening to the stories of those who have experienced it.
