We Need 24-hour Shelters

My Aunt Hazel would sometimes allow a homeless person to sleep in with us for a night or two. Three homeless people have wandered around my neighborhood since I have lived in Annapolis. One of the three left to live with family members. The other two are ill with Death beckoning each of them.
When October or November arrives, Winter Relief opens host-site locations that rotate weekly for our homeless citizens. Many sites have a waiting list. A person cannot be working when they have to travel daily to the sites, and the sites change weekly. We desperately need 24-hour shelters with extended stays that allow us to help our homeless citizens to transition to homes. Please help. You can call after searching on Internet for the program in your local community and donate.

We believe ending homelessness begins with listening to the stories of those who have experienced it.
