Vendor of the Month

Congratulations to David Ger, December’s Vendor of the Month! David is a Nairobi, Kenya native, who moved to the United States in 1997 and has been selling Street Sense for nearly two years. He volunteers regularly at George Washington University Hospital and creates the Sudoku puzzles that appear in many issues of Street Sense. He also volunteers regularly to lead student groups in Vendor for a Day, using his unique experiences and perspectives to help them learn about poverty and homelessness in a personal way. David was nominated by a volunteer who worked with him during a Vendor for a Day recently.
“I was really impressed by his professionalism and responsibility,” the volunteer wrote.
aAn avid writer and poet, David is currently writing his first book.
