Understanding Homelessness

Credit: Duncan C

What are the worst experiences that a lot of homeless people go through? I would say depression, stress, time management and feeling safe, especially if you aren’t living in a comfortable environment. Other issues that being homeless can bring about are substance abuse and mental health situations.

There are a lot of things that a homeless person has to do at the beginning of the day just to try to fit back into the normal flow of society that other people take for granted, because their basic necessities are met and are not as limited.

I wish that more people would take the time to be more understanding, compassionate, and trying to come up with a solution to this growing epidemic which is whole world. It takes a lot of will power and commitment to overcome the mental and emotional scars caused by going through the traumatic situation of homelessness.

All I can do is to keep hoping.
