Dear Mr. President:
Do you have any idea what you’re doing with your plan to issue boxes of food, instead of letting people choose their meals with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Plan benefits? This plan will affect tens of million people who are on food stamps. I myself have Type 2 diabetes, and there are certain foods I can and cannot eat. This plan will not give the choice to shop for the foods that my doctor has told me I can eat. Sir, with all due respect, before enforcing this plan, you should think about the millions like myself who are diabetic.
