Today we retraced the steps of a King in a rain symbolic to the pain and tears once endured. The old spiritual “We Shall Overcome” awakens resolve, selflessness and determination. Standing next to me side-by-side is evidence that a despicable era and legacy has not prevailed, confirmation that love is stronger than hate and proof that we as people need and cling to hope.
I am honored to have walked with Tim on this rainy day that will inevitably lead to a brighter future.
