The Monkey and the Pilot

Barbara Pollard

The monkey was distraught, sitting under a tree, trying to figure out how life had become so difficult. It felt estranged. Nothing that it had expected to achieve in life had occurred.

It was sitting there, looking at the clouds, with tears in its eyes. Then it started to think and realized that it could not be downtrodden any further. At that point, it started looking for solutions to the predicament that it was in.

The monkey saw answers in the clouds and realized that it could resolve all of its problems with faith and motivation. And did.

Before long, the monkey was no longer distraught. With full confidence, it overcame all worldly difficulties and was flying well above the clouds, where it could see that here was so much more in the world.

It had become the PILOT. The pilot of its own destiny!
