The battle has just begun

In 2017, I faced a war in life that I have conquered with the help of Street Sense Media. At the end of 2016, I became homeless when I could no longer work due to health issues that I cannot control. I have a small family, and those I turned to also have serious issues of their own. I don’t like bothering people for help unless I absolutely have to. Because of my condition, I sometimes have no choice. I slept on my sister’s floor for over a year.

Now that I accomplished the goal of securing a place to live, I have numerous other challenges that many don’t understand. Yes, I’m now blessed with a roof over my head and food in my refrigerator, so I can’t complain about anything in life right now. But now it’s time to build off the platform I have created for myself and my life.

I have two major goals for 2018: to stay healthy and be responsible with my living situation. To do this, I have to keep my circle small, because the people around you affect your life more than you know. I have also made the wise choice of no longer smoking cigarettes, and I encourage others to do the same.

My next chapter in life is full of positive energy, and I look forward to nothing but success. Continue to donate to Street Sense as I continue to write to help me become successful with all goals.
