The adventure of fishing with my dad

I wake up to a cool, breezy morning filled with peace and a frying pan layered with eggs. We load the car with fishing rods, bait and lots of goodies to snack on. Rolling through the country roads filled with shady trees, while singing to the “oldies but goodies.” After pulling up, we walk through a trail with lots of gear on our shoulders. A tree slaps daddy across the face! It’s funny and he is okay.

Can you believe that a person can catch two fish at the same time? That’s me when I reel a perch in and the perch maneuvers around a rock or seaweed. The perch releases itself and I start to reel him in again. And just that moment a gigantic bass bites and holds onto the perch. And I bring in two good size fish all at once!

Then my father cast his fishing rod into a tree and into the water. He catches a 25-27 inch striped large bass. We catch many different fish in all sizes like white perch, spots, croakers, yellow perch and other basses that we don’t want because they are too small according to the law. Later we go to the beach to swim and catch more fish and drink colas. We catch flounders. Then we light some charcoal and smoke and eat the fish. We take pictures of the big basses we caught. Then we lay on a beach towel with a large red umbrella to shade us when resting. Finally we cross the big Bay Bridge back home and clean the rest of the fish and have lots of laughs. That’s what happened to us on our fun fishing trip.
