Street Sense Vendor Elected as ANC Commissioner

STREET SENSE vendor Kenneth Alexander (right) is sworn in to a two-year term as an advisory neighborhood commissioner Jan. 2, 2005 by Ward 4 Council member Adrian Fenty. 

 Kenneth Alexander will serve on the Petworth area’s Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C. Thirty-seven ANCs represent neighborhoods citywide, reviewing zoning, commercial activity and licensing, public safety, public services and other concerns.  Alexander named economic empowerment and support for locally owned businesses as top priorities. He noted that “if we have a clear vision of where we’ve come from, then we can move forward into the future.”
