Pitfalls of Homelessness

Image of several Credit Cards

I didn’t know that bad credit can keep you from getting a job, but I did know that bad credit can stop you from having a chance to move into a new home. My biggest pitfall is raising funds for credit repair. With the rise of Metro fares and the cost of food, another pitfall is having too much free time. It becomes your enemy. People who don’t know your real problems can make you an enemy of the state. People think you are wrong when you are trying to better yourself.

I’m feeling great, and I’m making moves toward my future. When it’s very hot or very cold, weather conditions can be a pitfall also. Finding companies that need people to work for them is easy. But getting a call back from one of them is hard. It seems like they don’t hire homeless people of 48 or older.

How can I learn new skills and start working again? I put more pressure on myself, but only become more frustrated when I don’t get a call back or when I am just ignored. Progress is very slow, and the pitfalls are something I must learn to live with every day.
