No More Goodbye

Mother, Mother I love you so much

Your hands I cannot touch

Years have passed, I still cry

You left me, without saying goodbye

Couldn’t understand how the Lord above

Let me grow up without a mother to love

Mother! Have you seen all I have done

Since you left your son

Did you see me ride my first bike

My first fight

My best marble, planted at your grave sight

Did you see the nightgown you left

That I held to my chest

To catch your scent

Missing and wondering where you went

I am grown up now

Still wondering why

You left without saying goodbye

Through years of pain, hurt, and sorrow

God has shown me tomorrow

You will wipe my tears, tell me not to cry

My Mother forever, no more goodbye.
