My Stuff, My Space, My Life

Black and white photo of a bed, cart and other items on a street curb.

does my STUFF offend you?
well maybe it should
a bed, some carts
and pieces of wood
does my STUFF make you look
the other way
I know you get tired of seeing
my STUFF everyday
does my SPACE make you feel
uncomfortable or stunned
especially with our city’s
one-hundred million trust fund
does my SPACE take away from you
by seeing things from my point of view
does my LIFE make you feel guilty
You living well, me living filthy
my LIFE so much hopelessness and despair
maybe you can meet me in the middle somewhere
my LIFE is all I have as such
if it were your LIFE would you care as much?

*At present, there is a lawsuit against the city concerning removal of personal property on the streets
