Metro and Music

The Metro PCS store on Florida and Georgia avenues was forced to turn off its Go-Go music recently. A man living across the street had threatened Metro’s owner, T-Mobile, with legal action if the store did not stop the music.

There is nothing wrong with music being heard on the sidewalk. It puts people in a jovial mood. Some say it’s too loud. That’s part of the atmosphere of life. Just enjoy the sound, and remember that you are on the move—so don’t make the music move.

Note: In the time since this piece was written, Metro PCS store owner Don Campbell has been allowed to continue playing Go-Go music.
