Marvin Hammerman–Mystery Part 1

6:20 a.m. Pioneer Square, Occidental Park, Seattle

“Oh my God, look, hold on. I will call the police.”

911 dispatch: “What is your emergency?”

“Could you send a patrol unit to Occidental Park right away? I think I am looking at a dead body.”

“Very well sir, a patrol unit is en route.”

Officer Kevin Hanson is the first to arrive on the scene. “Okay folks I need everyone to clear this area now,” he says. Officer Hanson tapes off the area. This area is now a crime scene. As two more patrol units arrive, they move to keep the crowd gathered under control.

The crime scene investigations unit has now taken over the scene. Forensic specialist Michael Kallie gathers DNA to determine how this person died as the King County medical examiners vehicle arrives. The body is now transported to the county morgue.

No ID was found on the body, so no one knows who this person is or could be. Meanwhile, a tall, lean figure lurks about. Ragged and scruffy in appearance, he roams about the Pioneer area, working the soup kitchens and shelters to find himself another victim.

He rubs his right arm. It is pretty sore from the fight that he had just had with the latest victim he killed. The prey was almost too tough for him.

Coming up next: An autopsy reveals how the victim was killed.
