I’m still here

This year was my first Thanksgiving in my place. I’m going to hold that apartment down, even if I must remain by myself. The quiet and the peace I have when I come home feels so good.  I can relax and get a lot of rest.

But you may be wondering, “What happened to Joe Jackson this summer?”  I will tell you the whole story. I have been hurting out here, trying to survive and helping my mother. I am happy that I have my place. But I’ve learned the people you put yourself around sometimes don’t want to see you happy. And some of these people play the envy game.

Those are not your true friends. They usually have a lot to say but don’t bring anything positive to the table. I’m trying to stay positive and am looking for a good church that will make me feel at home and at ease.
