Enjoying the Elderly

I’d like to talk about my experience working with older people.

A lot of people feel that job is a hard task, because people lose patience and get upset when they are older, say 60 or so, and sometimes they get a little confused. Let’s face it; everything wears out as time goes on.

There are two sides to this story. Older people have experience and knowledge to share. They teach all types of things: crafts, survival, how to love, and what God is about! Even though you are 80 years old, you still remember you were an educator or doctor or a model, etc.

The seniors pass that knowledge on. If they can’t do it all day or night, they’ll do it in bits and pieces. I learned to respect the aged, like myself.  Older people are fun to be around! They need care, and, like anyone else, they respond to love.
