Change gotta come soon

It changed my life for the first time. I’d seen it on TV. Now I’ve seen it live.

We gotta make changes on both sides. The system — courts, law enforcement, police departments — all need to be changed. Not only for us here, but for everyone around the world.

I’m glad I was able to join the first protest of my lifetime. My cousin, Munah Evangeline Pelham-Youngblood, was a legislator in Liberia. She passed away last year after being poisoned for her political beliefs. She and her legislative colleagues wanted to root out corruption; for that stance, she was poisoned.  Her story is available on the internet.

She wanted changes for everyone without enough food or adequate medicine. She said things were tough and the country had to look to other countries for help.

That’s how I can remember her, for all the good things she did. I  protested for the first time on April 20. People were glad I was there. They took pictures of me! I pray things will get better on both sides, like the way it used to be during Bill Clinton’s time and Barack Obama’s time.

I’m glad to see the guilty verdict in the trial of the murder of George Floyd. Not only for George Floyd, but for Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin, and everyone else. I’m glad change is gonna come.
