By and About the Poor and the Homeless

In the name of God, gracious and merciful. I thank my God for another birthday today. I turned 67. What makes it so hard to cure homelessness? Nobody wants the slave to rise above the slave master. The only freedom we will have in this country will come when the house slave removes the chains off the slave in the field. As long as we as a people keep killing and selling death to each other, we will not be free.

God says, “hold on, I will avenge you.” So why is the mayor making it such a chore for us to have decent housing in decent neighborhoods? Police have cameras. What do we have? Murder in our streets and unsafe homeless shelters. It doesn’t matter what others have. We are still poor and homeless. Some people have prosperous churches. Do they reach out to us? No. We are still poor and homeless, in neighborhoods that are filled with drugs and guns. Babies are dying down the street from the District building. Who is fooling whom?
