Back to School

Scrabble letters spell out "back to school"

I took a test to start classes at the YMCA to prepare for the GED and was very disappointed. I scored one point away from passing, just like the last time.

When I found out I didn’t pass, it felt as if the whole world came crashing down on my shoulders. I was real sad. It took me a while to get over that feeling, but I’m OK now. I will just have to study harder. I kept missing school because I was sick and had to be hospitalized for a week. I have arthritis in both legs.

The faculty took our class out to lunch and I had crab cakes, fries and cheesecake for dessert – which lifted my spirits.

Lately my legs have not hurt at all and I thank God, the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ’s name for that. I’m going to take advantage of it when I start school again in September!
