A Memorable Summer

When I was about 12 years old, I used to go up on Jefferson Avenue in the North Side of Pittsburgh to the playground, which was surrounded by apple trees. I would climb the trees and pick a coupla apples. Once back on the ground, I would just sit and eat them. Soon after, I would get on the swing for a little while. And before I had to go home, I would make sure to get on the sliding board. I must have spent all summer doing these things.

I loved my childhood. But I especially loved THAT summer.
