Street Sense Vendor Offers to Buy Donald Trump Lunch

Dear Mr. Trump,

I sell Street Sense newspaper at the corner of 12th and F Streets NW, three blocks from your development of the old Post Office. Since you are running for president, I would like to know what you would do for homeless people — the forgotten people.

The real estate consulting firm working with you on the Post Office building is named Streetsense. This company is similar to our media center in name only. People who live in D.C. see a lot of building projects on which Streetsense [.com] is working. I wish there were more synergy between a company that develops homes and one that empowers the homeless.

Given your wealth, perhaps you don’t understand the issue of being homeless. Maybe if you broke bread with Street Sense [.org] vendors and artists, you could understand more about homeless people. So, I am writing to invite you to lunch (my treat) with some other vendors. I hope you accept so we can learn from each other.

Sincerely,
Morgan Jones
