American singer, author and actress Patti Labelle played the illustrious Strathmore music center on Friday, July 1.
Ms. Patti, as she is affectionately known, wore a Flapper-inspired black dress. She captivated the audience with her rendition of songs such as “If Only You Knew,” “On My Own,” “You Are My Friend,” and my all time favorite, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” as the closing act.
She kept the energy high and the audience engaged for the entire 90-minute show. Her band is an awesome accoutrement to Ms. Labelle. This was a great performance!
