There’s a pit bull in an alley with a butterfly on his nose and a dove on his back.
A monkey in a dress and a goatee comes through the alley – sees the pit bull, and takes off running.
He didn’t see the butterfly on his nose. He didn’t see the dove on his back. He just saw the pit bull, and fear caught fire.
He didn’t see how gentle the pit bull was, he only accepts his fear, and starts running.
The pit bull remained sitting–relaxed and happy–watching the butterfly on his nose.
This what people do a lot, miss-perception. The monkey’s fear was his own. He didn’t see the beauty in the pit bull. All too often we can’t see past our own misperceptions and fear.
