In our holiday seasons, we are often overcome with the euphoria of the occasion. Or perhaps, for some, the depression brought on by the stressors of this time of the year.
We run out and buy gifts and receive gifts. But, in my mind the greater gift to give is respecting and appreciating the diversity of our global society.
It costs nothing and is doable even during trying times. The wonderfully challenging experience is that it begins with you and me. This gift is not seasonal, but rather an ongoing daily proposition. The Christmas tree is us. It’s not you. It’s all of us. It’s not a material thing. It costs nothing to love – it really doesn’t. I hope, regardless of your perception of events during this time of year, you find joy and comfort in putting a smile on someone’s face each day of your life.
